The Animal House Charity is an animal rescue, based in Birmingham, UK. They take in unwanted, abused and abandoned pets. However they don’t have a rescue centre, instead of using kennelling facilities they have a network of local foster carers. Their foster carers open up their hearts and homes to animals that are homeless through no fault of their own. Without the foster homes they would not be able to help as many animals as they do. By fostering the animals it gives them a chance to see the animals behaviour in a home environment, then any problems can be dealt with and they can rehome them to the most appropriate place. All the animals that go into their care are treated for fleas, ticks, mites and worms. They also have a full veterinary ‘m.o.t’, neutered, if over 6 months and inoculated before going to their new homes.
